ISLAM & SCRIPTURE

The desperate lengths Muslims go through to find prophecy of Mohammed in the Word of God should come as no surprise. If prophecy of Mohammed isn't in bible, other than the verses that warn of false prophets, then they are stuck with a stand alone, 6th century religion, recited by a single illiterate, that by his own estimation, met a demon in a cave. This series is intended to put to rest some of the more egregious misconstruing of scripture.

This is an introduction to a playlist of a series of videos exploring these Muslim claims one by one. You can view them in continuous succession automatically by clicking on the first link in the upper right of this video. The second link presents the whole playlist on a page, where you can select the videos individually.

MOSES PROPHESIED MOHAMMED (I&S 1)

As hard as it is to imagine some Muslims try to suggest that one of the most blessed prophecies of the promised Messiah in the Old Testament, so well recognized by Christians and Jews, is instead a prophecy of Mohammed! We find on the internet for example:

"The Biblical prophecies on the advent of the Prophet Muhammad are evidence of the truth of Islam for people who believe in the Bible.

In Deuteronomy 18, Moses stated that God told him..."

He quotes Deuteronomy 18:18-19 and then goes on to say:

"From these verses we conclude that the prophet in this prophecy must have the following three characteristics:

1) That he will be like Moses.
2) That he will come from the brothers of the Israelites, i.e. the Ishmaelites.
3) That God will put His words in to the mouth of this prophet and that he will declare what God commands him."

That Mohammed was in any way like Moses is absurd on the face of it, but let's explore these claims more specifically. The subject verses he cites are:

(KJV) Deuteronomy 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. 19 And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require [it] of him.

2) That he will come from the brothers of the Israelites, i.e. the Ishmaelites.

That is simply not so:

Genesis 21:12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

This one can also be easily set aside by Jesus own declaration that He is indeed the prophet that was prophesied by Moses:

John 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. 47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

And again in Acts 3:22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. 23 And it shall come to pass, [that] every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

Ironically, in an effort to declare Mohammed in prophecy, the author has unwittingly guided us to scripture that specifically condemns those that follow Mohammed, rather than hearing the actual prophesied prophet, Jesus Christ.

Indeed Mohammed was, and taught, the direct opposite of Jesus Christ.

"...SLAY THEM BEFORE ME." (I&S 3)

Some Muslims are so desperate to find a parallel between Jesus and Mohammed, that they seek to find Jesus involved in violence - which was Mohammed's most conspicuous trait - by quoting this verse:

Luke 19:27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay [them] before me.

So how could the same Jesus make the above statement who made the following one:

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Does one verse abrogate the other, the way that a whopping 71 out of only 114 suras in the Quran, are subject to abroagtion?
http://brotherpete.com/index.php?topic=116.0

Of course not. Indeed few things more thoroughly illustrate the unregenerate nature, of those that quote Luke 19:27, as a means to falsely accuse Jesus. But that's just as prophecied:

2Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

So how are the verses reconciled?

Luke 19:27 marks the end of a parable, or story told to illustrate a point, that Jesus is presenting to His Apostles. Jesus is quoting the words of the nobleman that is a character in that parable.

Jesus spoke in parables for exactly the same reason that we find unregenerates accusing Him. Here is how Jesus explained His use of parables to His Apostles:

Mark 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all [these] things are done in parables: 12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and [their] sins should be forgiven them.

The accusers of Jesus are searching for the opposite of Jesus. Even though our loving Savior is exhaustively described in the Word of God. A sinless man that healed the blind, lame and leper, and raised the dead. Their accusation is a conspicuous manifestation of the spirit of antichrist. They are against Christ.

It is as if those false accusers put a sign on their forehead declaring that they are determined to remain unconverted, and prefer to die wallowing in their sins, to spite Jesus.

Are you an accuser too? It isn't too late to repent. You could die tomorrow - even today. Then it would be too late.

"I CAME NOT TO SEND PEACE, BUT A SWORD." (I&S 4)

Some Muslims sometimes quote the following verse to try to accuse Jesus of being violent, like Mohammed and his serial murder whether while plundering caravans, murdering villages of Jews, or poets in their sleep, or the imperialistic conquest and slaughter of the Islamic First Jihad:

Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

So how can the same Jesus that instructs us to "love your enemies" make a statement like this?

Well what does Jesus mean by a "sword"?

Revevelation 2:16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

Revelation 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

The same also constitutes part of the armament of Christians:

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Here is why we find that most exMuslim testimonies recount that they were saved by simply having picked up a bible and started reading:

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

"...PEACE ON EARTH? ... NAY; BUT RATHER DIVISION:" (I&S 5)

Some Muslims cite this verse in an effort to reflect negatively on Jesus Christ. But who does their random citing of it, really reflect negatively on?

Luke 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
The passage continues: 52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. 53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

This division is, of course, between the saved and the lost. The regenerate and the unregenerate. Those in the kingdom of God and those without. As the verse makes clear, we find this division sometimes even within the same family.

In some families to the extreme. Here is an example of a father in Basra who stood on his daughter's neck as he started stabbing her. People shouted for her brothers whereupon they rushed to the aid of their sister. Then their father told them why he was doing what he was doing, and the two brothers helped their father kill their sister. Her transgression?

"Seventeen-year-old Rand Abdel-Qader told her best friend how she had fallen for Paul, a 22-year-old she met at a charity where she worked as a volunteer.

When her father learned she had been seen speaking to a foreigner he rushed home and butchered her, strangling and stabbing her while screaming that he was "cleansing his honour."

"Her funeral was done without any of the traditional mourning because she was deemed 'impure'. Her uncles were said to have spat on her body."

Rather than the exception, this is quite common in the Islamic world.

THE TERM "BEGOTTEN" WAS ADDED LATER

Some Muslims claim that the terms "begotten" and "beget" when used in conjunction with God and Jesus were changed, or added later. Odd that Muslims would question this since they believe that Jesus is the only person in the entire history of mankind, to be born of a virgin, by the will of God.

Suggestion that there was tampering with the Word of God in general, is unsupportable since we have over 5300 partial or complete manuscripts of God’s Word were penned prior to 300AD, in virtually every language that was known to man, that were read all over the known world. Changing them all would be quite a task indeed.

Even hundreds of years after the bible was spread all over the world Mohammed quipped:

Sura 4:136 O ye who believe! Believe in Allah and His Messenger, and the scripture which He hath sent to His Messenger and the scripture which He sent to those before (him). Any who denieth Allah, His angels, His Books, His Messengers, and the Day of Judgment, hath gone far, far astray.

Yet modern Muslims don't hesitate to blaspheme the prophets and apostles and his book, without reservation, in spite of even Mohammed's instruction.

So let's look at the specific terms. There are 10 verses that use the term begotten or begat in regard to Jesus Christ. For example:

1John 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

If the virgin Mary conceived Jesus, by the will God, then who was Jesus' Father? There are 245 verses in the Word of God that declare God the Father.

Since violence begets violence, does that mean that violence necessarily had to have sex with violence? Perhaps in the mind of a 6th century desert dwelling illiterate.

Next lets look at the Koine Greek from the Textus Receptus or majority Greek Text:

(KJV) 1 John 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

The reference to "Him that begat" is of course a reference to God and "that is begotten of him" to Jesus Christ and his having been conceived by a virgin by the will of God. Of course nothing to do with God actually having sex with Mary, as some 6th century carnal Bedouin mind might understand, yet Mary did conceive God's only begotten Son. Even Muslims believe Jesus was uniquely created, from all other people born in the history of the world, in just this manner. They would say that God said "be" and Mary conceived Jesus.

The Greek word translated as "begat" from Strong's definitions:

him that begat
New Testament Greek Definition:
1080 gennao {ghen-nah'-o}
from a variation of 1085; TDNT - 1:665,114; v
AV - begat 49, be born 39, bear 2, gender 2, bring forth 1,
be delivered 1, misc 3; 97
1) of men who fathered children
1a) to be born
1b) to be begotten
1b1) of women giving birth to children
2) metaph.
2a) to engender, cause to arise, excite
2b) in a Jewish sense, of one who brings others over to his
way of life, to convert someone
2c) of God making Christ his son
2d) of God making men his sons through faith in Christ's work

We can see from the word count that the Greek word "gennao" is translated as "begat" 49 times in the King James bible.
To make the claim that it is translated wrong in the above verse, would obviously require that ALL 49 INSTANCES OF IT WERE TRANSLATED WRONG because "gennao" is the same word used in each instance.

COMFORTER - SPIRIT OF TRUTH - MOHAMMED?

Based on Mohammed's deeds as bequeathed to us by the books of Islam it's pretty difficult to picture him in the role of any kind of "comforter". Let's explore some scripture and see if there is any validity to a claim that he is expressed that way in God's Word.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The "Comforter" is the Holy Ghost. With the masculine gender assigned. The above difinitive statement is unambiguous. Additionally, when Jesus is speaking to the Apostles He declares:

John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Not leave them comfortless for one minute, let alone 500 years.

What about the "Spirit of truth"? Is that Mohammed? Hard for a Christian to imagine since Mohammed was, and taught, the exact opposite of Jesus Christ and the new covenant. But let's see:

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Now we already saw this "Comforter" described specifically as the Holy Ghost. The next verse:

17 [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

So we find the Comforter, or Holy Ghost, is used synomously with "Spirit of truth". It continues, the "world" cannot receive, because it "seeth him not". This first century "world" that can't "see" the Spirit of truth, in context, refers to those outside of the kingdom of God, or those not "born again".

The kingdoms of this world have been Satan's legal property ever since Adam's fall. No surprise that conquest and rule of these earthly kingdoms has been the 1400 year goal of Islam. From the Islamic First Jihad, to Ahmadinejad - "Islam will someday rule all the mountain tops of the world". The dar el salaam conquest of the dar el harb.

The "world" can't see him, and our verse goes on:

17 [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Jesus is addressing the Apostles and declaring that they already "know him", in the present tense. How could they "know" Mohammed 500 years before he was born?

How did Mohammed "dwelleth with" the Apostles 500 years before he was born?

How would Mohammed come to "be in" the Apostles?
Patently absurd.

1Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

GOD IN US. That's what being "born again" is all about.

From all of the above we can see how transparently preposterous is any claim that Mohammed could have anything to do with the term "Comforter" or "Spirit of truth".

In spite of the obvious, sorely deluded bible-ignorant minions, of famous Greek sophist styled deceivers like Deedat, suggest that because there is reference to the Holy Ghost, earlier in the New Testament, and Jesus says He is yet to send another Comforter and Spirit of truth to the Apostles, when specifically addressing them, that somehow all of the scripture above can be nullified through the convenience of a false presumption.

Further study reveals specific function. God's Spirit is one of the ways He manifest Himeslf to us. The first mention of His Spirit is in the second verse in all of scripture:

Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Here we find the Spirit of God functioning in creation.

Exodus 31:3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,

Here we find the Spirit of God filling an Old Testament saint in a manner not dissimilar to descriptions in the New Testament. This passage includes specific reference to the functions of wisdom, understanding, knowledge and workmanship.

The New Testament expresses God's Spirit as the Holy Ghost.

Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Here we find a virgin, Mary, conceived a child of the Holy Ghost. Her function was as the vessel of Jesus Christ, who was God manifest, or revealed, to mankind. The only such conception by a virgin in the history of mankind as Muslims agree. Yet amazingly some say He was just another prophet.

Luke 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: 42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed [art] thou among women, and blessed [is] the fruit of thy womb.

Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost, the function causing her to speak a specific declaration.

Luke 1:67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying, 68 Blessed [be] the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost for the function of prophesying.

Now the Apostles got into a serious funk when they learned that the man they had walked and talked with, and loved so dearly, was going to be killed.
So the function of the Spirit that Jesus said was yet to come unto the Apostles? To provide Comfort. Also to secure truth.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Jesus taught the Apostles while He was with them, and frequently reminded them of things that He had told them previously. The coming Spirit would provide the same function that Jesus had been performing personally. Specifically refered to as "another Comforter" - in place of Himself.

The Body of Christ has many parts. I am increasingly desperate for the 1.5 billion Muslims that Mohammed has so tragically deluded. I present the Word of God to Muslims, as well as to an eschatologically challenged church, that seems to have hung these poor folks out to dry. At least in the West.

1John 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

NO SWORD? - SELL GARMENT AND BUY ONE

Some Muslims try to drag Jesus down to the level of Mohammed's murder and mayhem by suggesting that Jesus acted similiarly by citing this passage:

Luke 22:36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take [it], and likewise [his] scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. 37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end. 38 And they said, Lord, behold, here [are] two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

Is it reasonable to suggest that two swords would be sufficient to plunder a caravan, or go on a bloody imperialistic rampage like Mohammed? Of course not. Perhaps only enough swords for something like the murder poets in their sleep as was done at Mohammed's behest. One, a woman asleep, with a child at her breast.

Then why the request?

The bible, Old Testament and New is full of lessons. Sometimes obscured in parables and sometimes more apparent. This lesson would seem to be more apparent when we see how the swords were used. Some verses later, as the guards came to haul Jesus off we read:

Luke 22:49 When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword? 50 And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. 51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.

Why would Jesus express His love and heal one of the very men who came to haul Him off to be killed?

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more [than others]? do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

We can see Jesus requested the swords for a real-time demonstration in how to love an enemy.

In the New Testament, that details the new covenant through Jesus Christ, scour it as we might, we can't find anything that Jesus did more violent than overturning the tables of the moneychangers in His rebuke to them at the temple.

ISHMAEL SEED A PROPHET ACCORDING TO MOSES (I&S)

In I&S part 1 we explored claims that Moses prophecy of a promised prophet was of Mohammed, but we found instead that it was not only a prophecy of Jesus, but went on to condemn those that don't hear Jesus words but instead follow Mohammed. The writer's claim regarding these verses:

"2) That he will come from the brothers of the Israelites, i.e. the Ishmaelites."

Ishmael was the  son of Abraham, from his wife Sarah's handmaiden, Hagar. In Abraham's day, carrying on a man's name, or lineage, was so important, that if a wife was barren, it wasn't unusual for the husband to have a child by the wife's handmaiden, to be raised as the son of the husband and wife.

Sarah encouraged Abraham to have a son with her handmaid Hagar because Sarah thought herself to be barren because of her advanced age. Later on the Lord did allow Sarah to bear a son for Abraham, that they named Isaac.

Gen 21:8 And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the [same] day that Isaac was weaned. 9        And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking. 10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, [even] with Isaac.

Abraham not only sent Hagar away, but also Ishmael, thereby DISOWNING him.

What else can we learn about Ishmael?

Genesis 16:11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou [art] with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction. 12 And he will be a wild man; his hand [will be] against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

And so it has conspicuously been, with the more recent 1400 year historical record, of the seed of Abraham's abandoned son Ishmael. Their hand against every man, that is, against every non-Muslim. The dar el salaam conquest of the dar el harb.

From the bloody rape, pillage and plunder of the imperialistic conquest of nearly the whole known world, of the Islamic First Jihad, to the over 12,000 deadly Islamic terror attacks around the world, just since 9-11.
Please visit: thereligionofpeace.com

Muslims go on to correctly claim that in the seed of Abraham all nations of the earth will be blessed:

Genesis 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

That obedience was expressed when God asked Abraham to take Isaac up onto a mount to sacrifice him, and Abraham was willing to do so, simply because his faith was so great. But the Lord spared Isaac and Abraham sacrificed a ram instead.

The fruit of Islam should dispel any such notion that the blessing of the Lord is in the seed of Ishmael, but let's explore it through scripture.

Genesis 21:12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

Once again, just like in part 1, we find that claim of being called in Ishmael is the direct opposite of the actual case:

Hebrews 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten [son],

Romams 9:6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they [are] not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, [are they] all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

Galatians 4:28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

Hebrews 11:9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as [in] a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:

Indeed Mohammed was, and taught, the direct opposite of Jesus Christ.

Matthew 15:26...It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.

In their effort to blaspheme the Word of God, some Muslims have actually resorted to calling Jesus a racist, bigot, etc. based on this verse:

Matthew 15:26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast [it] to dogs.

This subject in scripture begins with Jesus traveling with His disciples:

Matthew 15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, [thou] Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

Jesus knew what His disciples were thinking:

23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.

Next, in setting up this lesson:

24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

So we see two groups. Israelites, and non-Israelites as in the case of the Canaanite woman. Those at the table, and those not at the table, as far as the disciples could see.

Her reply:

25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.

Then Jesus further sets up the point that He wants to make to His disciples:

26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast [it] to dogs.

(passage continued after this word study for "dogs")
___________________

The reason some Muslims wheels spin off at the word "dogs" is that the hadith records that there were few things that Mohammed hated more than non-working, or pet, dogs. In "modern" day Saudi Arabia for example, they killed and banned all the dogs. So when some Muslims see the word dog they naturally have a "Niagara Falls" type of reaction.

But let's consider the Greek term translated as "dogs" in this particular verse:

[it] to dogs
New Testament Greek Definition:
2952 kunarion {koo-nar'-ee-on}
from a presumed derivative of 2965; TDNT - 3:1104,494; n n
AV - dog 4; 4
1) a little dog

The Greek word "kunarion" is a specific reference to "little" dogs - the kind of pet, or house, dogs, that might be hanging around a dining table.

Compare that term "kunarion" with the term for dog used in the following verse:

2 Peter 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog [is] turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

The dog
New Testament Greek Definition:
2965 kuon {koo'-ohn}
a root word; TDNT - 3:1101,; n m
AV - dog 5; 5
1) a dog
2) metaph. a man of impure mind, an impudent man

That is just how some blaspheming Muslims mistakenly understand Jesus' intent in our subject verse. If the Greek word kuon were used it would have given the passage a different meaning.
Yet their Greek sophist styled liars like Ahmed Deedat, and Naik continue to deceive their poor, deluded, bible-ignorant minions.

So returning to our passage, regarding the two groups - those at the table and those not at the table - the woman replied as Jesus knew she would:

Matthew 15:27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.

28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great [is] thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Once again we learn that it isn't about whether we are Jew, or Gentile, Canaanite or Israelite, but about faith. This is the lesson that Jesus was teaching His disciples who wanted to send her away.

A passage of scripture over which so many Muslims create such extreme, yet for them so naturally casual, blasphemy against the Word of God.
